Handmade Fish
This is an interactive animation project using motion capture data with Leap Motion.
My team wanted to focus on hand gestures so that we can create something meaningful with hands.
Leap Motion detects delicate hand gestures which allowed us lots of freedom of using variety of gestures.
The inspiration was seeing mutant species in the sea caused by pollution because of the human. Certain hand gestures let the players generate creatures in the scene but as time passes, those creatures being generated become wierd and strange.
This was intended to point out that the affects of pollution the human creates on the environment.
Hand movement left permanent trails in the background also those mutant fishes left trails for certain amount of time and disappear.
It is created for Experimental Animation Class in Carnegie Mellon University.
